I'm seeking greater understanding and not taking political sides on this.
Take the time and listen to it. It's worth it.
I sat through one of this lying shill’s lectures when I was in college and he was spouting Communist Soviet propaganda. I can’t believe he doesn’t have the shame to shut his mouth and hide his face.
A ridiculous idea. Not worth the powder to blow it up.
Name is familiar. Is he Gorby’s translator.
Bkmk
I watched a chunk of it. It basically says — we are to blame for expanding NATO. Of course it’s always our fault, right?
Yale?
Feggedabowdit!
There is a slim chance that their STEM departments may have only small to moderate leaks in their intelligence, but the rest? Bwahahahahahaha.
Not going to listen. I am a long term Russian linguist for the DoD and State Department, lived over there and did a missionary (baptist) tour over there. Beslan created Putin and kept him in power all these years.
Putin was in charge but Beslan cemented him as the strong man who would protect the Russian people. And he did till this debacle in Ukraine.
Pushing the same Putin line that James Baker, in conversation and no where else, promised Gorbachev that with a reunited Germany the U.S./NATO would not move “one inch east”.Gorby himself has said that conversation was in relation to U.S. & NATO forces in Germany. Remember at the time Poland was still a Soviet/Warsaw pact state, and Poland shared borders with Eastern Germany. The Gorby-Baker discussion was not about the future of former Soviet states of Eastern Europe and what decisions of those state, regarding their own security concerns, that the U.S. and NATO would prevent them from making.
First question asked - implied Russian interference in Trump’s election. Pretty well tosses a huge discrediting into the discussion.
The speaker does make valid points - but while he pretends to be “unbiased”- even going to great lengths to make it VERY clear he is “independent” and represents no-one but himself - which is a hallmark of those who are most definitely on a particular side.
Yes- he does present so facts/truths - but completely ignores Russian aggressions over the years leading up to that lecture (which was in 2018). He ignores Russian actual meddling in near neighbors. He ignores Putin’s old rhetoric.
Thanks very much for posting that. It was excellent.
Pozner made the same tired arguments that Russian apoligists have been making since George Kennan, that the world is the US’ and Russia’s to carve up like a fatted calve.
And the KGB and Yeltsin had nothing to do with it.
“It is one of the most objective presentations I have heard, especially about how the Clintons created Putin.”
