Germany wants climate losses put on agenda at UN talks
Associated Press ^ | October 7, 2022

Germany wants the huge economic damage resulting from global warming to be discussed at this year’s United Nations climate talks, Germany’s foreign minister said Friday.

Vulnerable countries have long demanded that big polluters be held accountable for the effects that their greenhouse gas emissions are having around the world, including the destruction caused by extreme weather and sea level rise resulting from rising global temperatures.

But rich nations that account for the majority of planet-warming emissions since the start of the industrial era have largely opposed efforts to formally debate the ‘loss and damage’ issue for fear they might have to pay climate reparations.

Last year’s U.N. climate talks in Glasgow failed to reach agreement on establishing a special fund for loss and damage.

Speaking after a meeting with her counterpart from Pakistan, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said the recent devastating floods in the South Asian nation had shown “what dramatic consequences the climate crisis is having in all regions.”

“As one of the hardest-hit countries worldwide, Pakistan is paying a high price for global CO2 emissions,” Baerbock, a member of the environmentalist Greens party, told reporters in Berlin. “That’s why Germany will work toward a fair sharing of the costs at the COP27 in Egypt, putting the question of climate adaptation, but in particular also the question of loss and damage, on the agenda.” …

Not worried about a hot war close to their borders, but going on about this pack of lies instead. Wonder why. (Molotov-Ribbentrop?)

Will anyone be allowed to point out that global warming a.k.a. climate change is a scam? Maybe the UN should debate whether there is any intelligent life on earth.

Pakistanis (who are the worst of the worst human beings on the planet) must laugh themselves silly at the incredibly gullible Germans.

They aren’t that dumb. They know Russia won’t gun for them. They’ve been cooperating for over eleven years, not just economically but even politically, with German politicians being put at the head of Russian state-owned companies.

They want the populace to accept a strongman; hence they are making the EU population suffer.

You posted this to make us laugh. Or maybe the Germans, the smartest life forms in the galaxy (honest, they said so themselves), know the rest of the world is so dense that we will pony up money to cover for their stupidity.

(If you are of German descent I am sorry, there is that 1/16th of me I don’t like, and they supported the Crown in the American Revolution which makes it doubly worse)

They’re certainly expecting the current leadership of the USA (the usurpers) to buy into this.

At the UN? Never.

Remember that it was Alger Hiss that patterned the UN’s charter after the 1936 USSR constitution. The poisonous fruits that sprang from those seeds were intentional.

certainly costly for the American taxpayer:

6 Oct: WattsUpWithThat: The Atlantic: The Inflation Reduction Act has Unleashed “Uncapped” Spending on Climate Change
by Eric Worrall
According to The Atlantic, the IRA costs are just estimates. For many items there are no limits on the magnitude of federal climate subsidies available...

(Atlantic eccerpt) Many of the IRA’s most important provisions, such as its incentives for electric vehicles and zero-carbon electricity, are “uncapped” tax credits...
In fact, so many people and businesses will use those tax credits that the IRA’s total spending is likely to be more than $800 billion, double what the CBO projects...ETC

Wait until they have to face the economic disaster that will be caused by their fruitless attempts to change the climate.

“They've been cooperating for over eleven years, not just economically but even politically, with German politicians being put at the head of Russian state-owned companies.”

A great example of this is Gerhard Schröder, chancellor of Germany immediately before Angela Merkel. When he left politics he went to work for Nord Stream AG and Rosneft. I think he also worked for Gazprom. No big surprise then that Germany was cozy enough with the Russians back then to become so dependent on them for energy security.

Global Warming is better than having the Ice Age returning. Germany should be thankful for Global Warming.

The German greens grew out of the Wandervogel movement as did the Nazis. Khaki and combat boots the go to dress code. Germany is back on the well trodden path of embracing an ideology rooted in pantheism, mysticism. And ultimately Jews will be the sacrifice offering again. Who can recall during GW1, a German greens leader declaring that Israelis deserved Saddam’s scuds. Germany is a dangerous country that will bring grief again. You can take that to the bank

The greatest losses have nothing to do with climate, but emanate from the ridiculous notion that humans can ‘fix’ it.

They aren’t that dumb.

We have an uncomfortably large number of people who numbly parrot the idea that men can become pregnant.

I am not as optimistic as you are about the depths of human stupidity.

Every word of the first few paragraphs is utter delusion or bullshit. These people are, in their own minds, gods who can simply speak anything they want into existence.
