Reagan called America "a shining city on a hill." The world agreed. It's why they wanted to be us. It's what inspired people in Eastern Europe to "tear down the wall."
Today, the world looks at us with disgust. They might want access to our (diminishing) wealth, but they don't respect or admire us.

The fact that it is tolerated and at times celebrated and supported like our totally broken government school system is an anathema to many worldwide.
The States are a shame. And what is broadcast worldwide is the horror which is increasing throughout the country and frankly much of the western world.
At some point there will be a reckoning and after that the people left will be seen as complicit.
For we allowed it.
