Because the day before All Saints’ Day (November 1) celebrates souls escaping from the grave for one night, it is not something that should be celebrated. It makes light of the idea that the evil of evil spirits lives on after them.

For that reason, no one should celebrate it.

It’s more than just one group liking to celebrate it against another group not liking to celebrate it. The group that doesn’t like to celebrate it believes it actually unleashes evil.

OK, this won’t be a popular point of view here, but I do believe it celebrates evil and so do many other people. It’s far from a black-and-orange Saint Patrick’s Day.

We never thought about ‘evil’ when we were kids. We just wanted to dress up like princesses and superheroes - and get candy.

I’ll keep my Hallowe’en, thanks.
