Tacos are overrated. I'll take grilled lamb coated with a spicy harissa/yogurt sauce topped with grilled onions and wrapped in a lavash flatbread over a banal taco any day of the week.

It’s absolutely impossible for San Antonio not to be leading the list in number of tacos eaten. You can’t drive a mile on any commercial street in San Antonio without passing many hole-in-the wall family run taquerias, each one with its own flavor and fans that keep it in business.
If the criteria is based on reported dollar values/sales, then it might be possible that SA is further down the list BECAUSE THE PRICES ARE SO LOW AND REASONABLE.
