RADIO’S GREATEST OF ALL TIME – RUSH LIMBAUGH

We are excited to announce the release of RADIO’S GREATEST OF ALL TIME — Rush Limbaugh with Kathryn and David Limbaugh! This collection of some of Rush’s favorite moments on and off the air was put together for you, his loyal audience, in honor of your unwavering support over thirty-two incredible years. We hope you enjoy looking back at these highlights of Rush’s exceptional life as an American patriot and the greatest voice for conservatism the world has ever known! Proceeds from Radio’s Greatest of All Time will be donated to the families of fallen heroes.

When Vince Flynn, a dear friend and renowned author, first suggested the idea for this book, Rush considered the task overwhelmingly daunting. “How can I possibly select the best of the best,” he joked, “from all the years of pure genius?” After overcoming these initial reservations though, Rush came to love this project immensely and spent countless hours joyfully reliving the highs and lows of his incredible career. Rush always said that “history repeats itself,” so his prescient analysis of events from the early days will remain relevant today and forever.

Contributors to the book include President Donald J. Trump, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, Governor Ron DeSantis, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Dr. Ben Carson, and others. This book follows, in Rush’s own words, how he grew from a young man in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, into the Greatest of All Time by learning from greats like William F. Buckley, Margaret Thatcher, and Ronald Reagan. Throughout his life, he never forgot his core values, his sense of humility, or his care for you – his extended family.

Rush will forever be our American hero who is simply irreplaceable. His words and lessons will live on through all of us.

CHAPTER EXCERPTS

WHAT MAKES AMERICA GREAT AND WHY WE MUST PROTECT IT
The Rush Limbaugh Show, September 7, 2007

RUSH: You know, what happened in Philadelphia in 1776 was a miracle. Divine inspiration had to have been there. The principles may be bigger than the men who wrote ’em down, but they did write them, and they were not racists, and they were not bigots, whatever else the PC crowd teaches today. . . .

Have you read the Declaration of Independence? “One nation under God . . . Creator.” The Pledge of Allegiance? Clearly the founders of this country believed in God and believed that we were all created and that we were all created equal. “Certain unalienable rights, among them life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness.” Life, liberty, pursuit; these words mean things.

You say that the principles are bigger than the people that wrote ’em down, but it took people to write them down. Where did they get the inspiration? Where did they get the intelligence? They were great people that put this country together, a country that stood the test of time like no other country in the history of civilization. Today’s liberals are none of the Founding Fathers. Today’s liberals are not capitalists as constituted today. They are socialists. . . .

RUSH VISITS THE WHITE HOUSE, STAYS IN THE LINCOLN BEDROOM
The Rush Limbaugh Show, August 26, 2010

RUSH: One of the funny stories that I remember is that after my night—it was in 1992 in the summertime that I’d spent the night in the White House. George H. W. Bush was president. . . . I got to know the usher; they were all big fans. And it was like a hotel room—you could have a wake-up call. This was on the same floor that the president and his wife live. It’s a big floor, obviously, but you could order coffee from, quote unquote, room service. A uniformed steward would bring it to you, and I got to know all these people. And when Clinton won the election, I remember Harry Thomason and his wife, Linda Bloodworth-Thomason, talking about how they couldn’t wait to sleep in the Lincoln Bedroom after Clinton was inaugurated.

So, through channels I reached people that I had met in the White House: “Could I leave a note that you would leave for Harry and Linda on the pillow in the Lincoln Bedroom the night that they’re in there?” And it happened to be inauguration weekend, I think, that they spent. It took a while, but in a couple weeks they came back and they said sure. So I wrote a note, and the note said, “Dear Harry and Linda: Never forget this. I was here first, and I will be back. Signed, Your buddy, Rush.”

I truly miss Rush, his divine truth along with his imperfections. I was honored to be a listener since 1992 and was very fortunate to speak with him 4 times. I did not agree with everything he said but I listened to him because he made me really think.

Although at very different points on the political spectrum, I would love to know what Rush Limbaugh and Christopher Hitchens would have had to say about Ukraine and Hunter Biden.

Yeah I miss Hitchens too. If nothing else he now knows whether or not he was right in his atheism.

The G.O.A.T. to be sure. When he left this world, the entire medium of radio basically lost my business. Not their fault, necessarily, there was simply no succession plan that I know of.

RUSH was the brand, no way for a succession plan.

He was a good man.

Picked it up in 1990 on the South Tactical Range.

Funny as all get out.

I know how you feel and I was like that for awhile, but suprisingly I am listening to more talk radio now than ever. After figuring out how to download podcasts to my phone, I am like Mark Levin says where you can become your own program director. I am listening to 10 different shows now to get back a small taste of what Rush’s take would have been. Rush wouldn’t want your talk radio world to end with him just as the world doesn’t end with us, he would want us to carry on and let others carry the flag.

Mark Levin gets choked up remembering Rush Limbaugh’s legacy (Feb 17, 2021)..

I wish my Dad was still alive. He was a Rush fan like no other. He attended the very first ‘Dan’s Bake Sale’ in CO, way back when and rarely missed a day listening to Rush.

But, now Dad & Rush are both hanging out in Heaven together, so it’s all good.

See ya later, Guys! :)

Hi.

My wife called Rush’s show three times in 30 years and got on each time. I got in and talked to James three times and never got on the show.

Bo, Mr. James Golden it’s because you like black women, right?

Discrimination I tell ya.
