Look for the wearing of a face diaper. Very typical where i live, even if alone in the car.

One of my kids bought one about five years ago. Has a new one on order. Tire wear is unsatisfactory as is the hassle associated with long car trips although it has been used on a number of trips up to 800 miles.

Asian do not drive the things, being the other group still wearing masks.
The Asian (Chinese) majority in my building drive white Audis and BMWs, often wearing face diapers while doing so.

Fires are a problem with all Lithium-Ion batteries and probably will be for a long time. Good battery management is very important to prevent fires especially when charging. Since the explosions listed in the article happened while the batteries were charging overnight it’s possible the battery management system failed or didn’t exist.
