Suppose that three gangsters told you that if you did a certain thing, they were going to burn your house down.
Suppose that you went ahead did that that unwanted thing, and then suppose that your house did in fact burn down.
Who did it?
The CIA supposedly warns the Germans. The Germans share a statement which will turn off any Ukrainian thinking about migrating over to Deutschland for a place to stay.
Of course German being German it could mean a couple of other things but the idioms are confusing and out of synch with my frame of reference.

Snag it with a cable to fix the position. Drop a boey. That should be sufficiently close to drop a big charge overboard and get the pipe in the blast radius.
Ukraine has naval ordnance guys and depth charges. And mines too. And explosives of all kinds off course. And it could easily have bought a fishing trawler.
Doesn’t make much difference who physically planted the bombs, the CIA was running the show and they were just their Muppets.
So, the Ukrainian navy hiked 300 miles through Poland, with a canoe on their shoulders, set off with oars paddling 20 miles into The Baltic Sea and set charges on a pipeline 150 feet in depth?
