PORTLAND, Ore. — After moving from Portland's Old Town to downtown, Wyatt Savage was hopeful the level of crime wouldn't be quite so severe. But the owner at Pallet Portland is now considering a move to escape the ongoing challenges.
“In three months I’ve had four windows smashed, I’ve had somebody try and rip the front door of our gate off the hinges and it’s just been non-stop," Savage said.
"Even if we were all making tons of sales, with the amount of damages happening, you know, 40 thousand dollars in damages in four months is insane. Like, that’s a lot of money to just come up with," Savage said.
Kamelah Adams brought her business to Old Town in 2021. She decided to move all sales online after a robbery this summer and is now evaluating where to go next.
"To experience vandalism and robberies and burglaries it can be too much sometimes, and I do know that I’m not alone because I’ve talked to other retailers and there’s not enough support for retail at all," Adams said.

What d’you bet these two business owners vote Democrat? They’ll probably never understand that if you subsidize something, you’re guaranteed to get more of it.
No rational, decent person would voluntarily want to live , work, raise a family, or educate their children in Democratic run urban areas. Its akin to living on the other side of the bars in a zoo.

Sorry but what did he expect? The city administration worked with illegal protesters to set up the “autonomous” zone, and then gave it their full material and moral support while it acted in total defiance of peoples’ rights and the law.
The only reasonable action is to get the hell out of an area ruled by America-hating marxists.

That’s ok, they just received a $1.2M grant (of your money) to “improve downtown”, so now they can afford to paint over last weekend’s vandalism in prep for next weekends vandalism.....
The best solution is to make compost from vandals afer years of Restitutional Servitude.
I notice your other story reported the government is sending another 1.2 million to Portland downtown. But that money will go to government donors (er, government contractors. ) Not small business owners. Not to police.
Bet they were hollering to defund the police. Play stupid games...
