At least he didn’t catch him in his pajamas. (Hat tip to Groucho Marx)

Moose aren’t allowed to gave guns in Maine.
To: DoodleBob
He almost had a very difficult situation being that close. Wow.

A Maine guide is traditionally given something like half or a third the meat ass additional compensation fora successful hunt.

Indeed. I don't know if I'd be that composed. “You don’t want a bull moose that close,” Cote said. “A lot can go wrong, especially after the shot. We’ve seen plenty of videos where they just mow you over and try to trample you.”

There's a joke in here somewhere. “Their eyesight sucks, so if you don’t move and if you smell like a moose and sound like a moose, they pretty much think you’re a moose.”

The beast is bigger than the cargo area. Magnificent.

I am confident I would have needed clean underwear after that kind of encounter.
I’ve met big moose up near Rangley. The moose decides when you can continue driving down the road. They are massive.
To: ZinGirl
How the moose got in his pajamas, we don’t know.
To: DoodleBob
Even getting drawn in the Maine moose lottery is quite an accomplishment!
4,080 permits were issued for the 2022 moose hunt.
Your odds if you are a non-resident: about 1 in 1332
About 321 tags available for non-rez. A pretty elite club.
Successful applicants who wish to purchase their $585 moose permit must also purchase a $115 hunting license. That's only the beginning of the costs for this adventure.
