It's about 60 miles. I suppose it could be done on one of the big jet skis in relatively calm waters. People take speed boats from FL to have dinner in Bimini. Probably takes longer navigating the intercoastals than the actual trip.

People paddle board to Bimini. Every year there is a fundraiser and dozens of people make the trip on paddle board from Jupiter to Bimini - with plenty of boat, radio, etc. support though.

You don’t F around with the Gulf Stream...if the wind is coming from the wrong direction you can get these big square waves and it’s downright dangerous. You couldn’t pay me enough money to attempt it on a jetski.

54 miles, Hillsboro inlet to bimini. Doable,.however, not safe without others, or a chase boat.
Not a good story.
Ending doesn’t look promising
As my dad used to say; “They are old pilots and bold pilots, but there are no old, bold pilots”.
Then I’d mention Yeager and he’s get mad.
