The school apparently expelled the child because the parent questioned the assignment. The child is the winner because the school is not an upright, moral establishment. There should be more of an uproar locally about the judgement of the school in promoting that assignment and in expelling a child because they were questioned. The elephant in the room is that you are naked in a bathtub and no one should be getting kids comfortable taking pictures of themselves naked or in a situation where nakedness is the norm. This is grooming.
CINOs. Plenty of them all around. Keep your eyes open.
We had something like this when we were in like kindergarten. It wasn’t lewd, just meant as a fun exercise. Granted, I was in kindergarten almost 40 years ago, so it was a different time.
Nowadays I wouldn’t trust an educator to feed my kid let alone give them pictures in a bathtub.
With emphasis: THIS IS GROOMING. IT IS NOT PERMISSABLE AND CANNOT BE TOLERATED.
How would anyone think that this is appropriate in any context? The perverts are real. We are well beyond “consenting adults in the privacy of their bedrooms.” That was the leverage point to get “conservatives” to look the other way until it was too late.
This is a Yelp review from THREE years ago WOW:
“WARNING!!! Parents of children that are black and brown please be advised your child will be treated, disciplined and introduced to an prejudice society with this school. Staff presents themselves as Christian based but are very vindictive if you disagree with their outlook. Staff views passionate parents as renegades for having opinions. Staff will take every opportunity to weaponize innocent child fun. Staff is reluctant to pursue alternative practices and will only blame your child. Staff discourages any parent involvement with teachers. Overall I would say this is a poor school because of the structure. No leadership and staff is weak from top to bottom. I wouldn’t recommend ANY parents here”
If this assignment were as innocent as they claim, they shouldn’t need the overreaction of expelling the objecting child from school. There should have been an alternate assignment for the same credit. ‘In the Bathtub’ homework might be ‘fun’, but it’s not essential to learning, and they know it. Good for the parents for paying attention and reasonably speaking up.
Someone needs to check the bathrooms for hidden cameras.
Did anybody explain why this was an assignment? For what academic purpose would there be to have anybody, let alone children of that age, do this? And for so many people to defend this?
Absolute definition of evil lunacy . . .
Ok, even if we assume it was just an innocent assignment....What was the point?
Be real nice to know if this is TX, NC, AR, Al, FL, or some other state.....
