People don’t have to freeze to death. They need to get to know their neighbors. Gather together in one house after the other. The more people the warmer it will be. Humans didn’t survive by being stupid.

When people start freezing to death they will be banging on government’s door for help. When the people are freezing and starving, sometimes the banging on the government doors is not to ask for help. Playing with fire, I'd say.
