Have you seen the youtube discussions regarding EV long haul trucks. They easily demonstrate the lunacy of the whole concept - at least with current tech.
Now, if they could come up with a battery that weighed 1/10 of what current batteries do, and have five times the range, THEN you might have something. But we’re not there yet.
I was listening to a motel owner talking about EVs, and they said something like “If I have 50 rooms, do I have to get 50 charging stations, or supply cords or outlets in each parking space? What do they expect me to do?”
I admit I had not thought of that. I’ll bet the big brains did.
Or maybe it will just be “acceptable collateral damage”.
