Thanks for the answer, but I feel I’m almost asking a geographical question that involves space. I’m asking if there is a spacial-like quality to the spiritual. As spirits, I still think they inhabit physical space, they are physically in our world. But I’m also wondering if Heaven and Hell are spacial, or maybe the spacial analogies are just metaphors of sorts that help us relate. When you went to Heaven did you feel that it was a place? A place where you can talk to other spirits, like a person or an animal that has died? And, if so, are the spirits in Hell in a place where they have not shed their sins –- not just in a state of mind. And, as a follow-up question... if the spirits in Hell did shed their sins could they enter Heaven? A lot of people believe there is no escaping Hell.
think of radio stations on a dial, or tv stations. Each one is a different reality that exists in the same space at a different frequency. So it is with Heaven and Hell.
Hell would be the equivalent of being stuck in only the Heavy Metal, Punk and Rap stations.
I say this with humor intended, but there is a lot of truth in this metaphor.

Your question/comment is a good one and very valid. Remember Jesus telling us we must go within to find God. This is very true.
It is not about traveling to a distant location, but merely cleansing our souls so they can grow and expand awareness to be as Jesus stated when He came out of the wilderness, “My Father and I are One.”
From a neuroscience standpoint, in mid life crisis the frequencies of consciousness as measured by an EEG synchronize. Specifically the Beta frequencies of the prefrontal cortex which are the last to develop (about age 25), synchronize with the emotional child Theta frequencies. When this happens, the soul becomes whole at the lower level and allows it to expand and increase to the Gamma frequencies.
Gamma frequencies are when a person is truly born again as at these frequencies a person begins to perceive directly with their consciousness beyond their physical body.
But just perceiving is not enough. You must learn what you are perceiving like a newborn child who sees, tastes, hears and feels needs to learn what they are perceiving.
Transcendence is the goal of life in a physical body. It is where your soul that is a seed of God consciousness grows to expand beyond the seed pod physical body that was planted here in the darkness of earth to grow.
Here is an explanation for the concept of the spiritual universe/realm. It makes sense to me.
