Most of our modern meds are created from herbs and other natural sources with this and that added in to make it a pharmaceutical or prescription. That’s why the FDA and others hate herbal medicine and natural unregulated supplements so much. No money in it if people can just grow it, pick it, or dig it up. Even Ivermectin started from a compound discovered in the soil in Japan.
My grandmother was part Cherokee and only used natural native herbs. I don’t think she ever took a pharmaceutical.

I use many herbs whose “active principles” have been synthesized to use as Rx. Herbalists contend that it’s more effective (haha and safer) to use the original herbs as they are many other constituents in the plants that support and balance the so-called “active principles”. I have seen amazing cures on my self and others using herbs.
