I first became concerned about the CIA after 9/11 when we were trying to find bin Laden in the Bora Bora caves. It was said the CIA had mapped these caves, but they couldn’t find the maps. So he escaped for a number of years hiding in Pakistan. After a few years of observation, and especially after the 2003 invasion of Iraq I concluded someone did not want bin Laden caught. And a result was a lot of warfare, and a great many military contracts making some people very very rich.

Unfortunately, people are saying things like this about the war in Ukraine. However, I believe Putin and others really are the bad guys here and we must stop his aggression now. I just hope the IRS and others will make successful efforts to prevent the MIC from gaining EXCESS PROFITS, and underpaying their workers.

I have read that one of the big problems with the CIA is the shift from HUMINT (information from inside sources) to less specific sources of information. Our country’s failure to emphasize learning foreign languages is one reason it is so hard to develop HUMINT. Being able to talk at depth with a potential source is extremely important. Aside from motivation as the attacked country, it really helps that the Ukranians can communicate directly with Russians or listen to their various devices for information.

The U.S. & N.A.T.O. fomented a coup against the duly elected Ukrainian President. For 8 years Putin has tried to get the international community to intervene in the violence against Russian speaking Ukrainians. The Minsk Agreements 1 & 2 were signed by Ukraine. However, neither agreement were adhered to by Ukraine. In fact, they stated outright, that they had no intention to live up to the agreements they signed, and only signed them to gain time to train their military and acquire armaments & ammo. Putin tried for 8 years to stop this violence. The western nations blew him off.

Since Europe had no concerns about their actions, why should you & I pay for what will end up being another waste of our money like Afghanistan, & Iraq were?

You, and all the others you responded to, are woefully ignorant about this conflict and the real consequences this war have for our nation.
