Yep. He’s got no choice. Russia’s occupying Potemkin army is crumbling. Smashed to pieces by Ukrainian farmers and miners. They don’t have the units to cover both the south and Donbas fronts. So he rushed the Stalinist referendums and will now threaten to nuke Ukraine.
Lukashenko needs his troops in Belarus. If they enter the war in Ukraine, his regime gets overthrown.
Lukashenko is too sly for that.
The Budapest Memorandum and charters for the establishment of the Commonwealth of Independent States cancel out whatever agreement Belarus may have entered into with Putin.
