Outside of communities seeing "high" levels of COVID-19 transmission, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has ended a blanket plea for Americans in hospitals and nursing homes to wear masks indoors.
The change, one of many published Friday evening to the agency's guidance for COVID-19 infection control for healthcare workers, marks one of the final sets of revisions in a sweeping effort launched in August to overhaul the CDC's recommendations for the virus.

They should keep doing masks in nursing homes and hospitals
But, I do hear that Andrew Cuomo is available as a concierge.
Why?
Quite a few doctors and dentists in the Tucson area aren’t requiring masks, but a lot still are.
Wife and I were at Sugar Land Methodist Hospital, yesterday. No Face Diapers were required.
Not good enough anymore. Who in the CDC "says"?
After the past three years, it's time we demand individual accountability on the part of regulatory and government organizations which have the power to influence our lives.
It's time we knew who in whatever agency or organization.
Did this person or persons have a financial or political stake in the decision? Was it made by a person or persons with expertise in the field, or by a rule-making bureaucrat? Simply saying an edict comes from Agency A or Organization B makes the edict essentially anonymous.
If a decision affects you and me, the deciders need to put their name on it, not hide behind a vague corporate or government wall.
I live in the Rome/Utica, New York area. As of last week, the health care center where I see several physicians, have gone to voluntary option for masks.
I would guess that they are hoping to kill off the elderly they didn’t kill when they forced nursing homes to admit covid positive residents during the first CDC mass murders.
The annual influenza kills a good many elderly. Not wearing masks would likely make it more fatal.
And people should wear seat belts while standing on the corner too.
Wearing a mask if you have covid makes the chances it is more fatal, 1.5 times more. Foegen effect
I agree. The only time I wore a mask was in a hospital or my VA. And because they wouldn’t let me in otherwise.
But I think it might help the elderly in nursing homes to keep from catching the flu.
Anything the CDC advises makes me suspicious. So I start thinking why they advise the elderly in nursing homes to not wear them.
How can they find your teeth if you are wearing a mask?
Well, they can’t. Makes going to the dentist even less pleasant when they are just drilling away blindly.

Oops.
Apparently, many community hospitals, not so called teaching hospitals, with an ID, who, has a private internal medicine practice, have been back to pre Covid Days rules re masks.
