How soon they forget.
The Thing, also known as the Great Seal bug, was one of the first covert listening devices (or "bugs") to use passive techniques to transmit an audio signal. It was concealed inside a gift given by the Soviet Union to W. Averell Harriman, the United States Ambassador to the Soviet Union, on August 4, 1945. Because it was passive, needing electromagnetic energy from an outside source to become energized and active, it is considered a predecessor of radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology.[1][2][3]

Because of this previous discovery, the CIA knew exactly what this was and what the cause was.

I learned about it in the 1970's when it was still a national secret.   Over the years, there were magazine articles about diplomats and embassy workers being bombarded with microwaves.   Does any one believe that after the Russians were caught and exposed at the United Nations that Communists all over the world would stop surveilling us by any means possible?

You might also think now of the riot control stand off weapons we have perfected using electromagnetic energy cannons.

"Havana syndrome is a hoax?"   Or the high energy tools usage still needs to be kept on the down low?

It is kind of surprising to see so many here think this thing is a hoax.

Goodness gracious, CIA has done despicable things in search of ways to get an advantage. MK Ultra is not the only version.

It is not hard for me to believe something happened ...CIA may or may not know...may or may not be involved...and may or may not be pulling strings to get people here to believe it is nothing
