I live in a small coastal city in the northern part of Washington State. On a clear day I can see Canadastan.
We have a serious Black Tailed Deer problem. More deer than full time residents. That offset has caused an increase in Black Bear populations too, and I would be remiss if I didn’t include Raccoons and Coyotes into the mix.
The Washington State Fish and Wildlife agents have already trapped and relocated 2 yearling Boars this summer. My daughter who is visiting spotted one swimming across our lake and watched it scour for ripe trash cans at a couple of Snowbird homes.
Needless to say after I saw my daughters pictures and helped 2 neighbors pick up their garbage the Bears strewn around the neighborhood, I convened introduction to .300 Blackout AR Pistol 101 with my wife and daughter.
They are both skilled markswomen and both carry legally but this is my newest and most effective home protection gun and neither one had tried it.
The Bears have had a smorgasbord with all the increased population since people have stopped listening to the COVIDIOTS and have cast off their chains and are out and about again. Our little beach town has been humming with activity all spring and summer.
As the population wains, the food sources dry up and the Bears are going to become even more aggressive as their internal hibernation clock starts ticking even louder. We are prepared.
Good.
They hibernate in that area?
