They not only stopped on the tracks, they set up home there and conducted the entire event and arrest and detainment there as though they had pulled over into a shopping center parking lot.
I wish I had a nickel for every jaw that has dropped when learning of this extraordinary event.

Police detained her for an alleged road rage incident earlier in the night It was a report of a road rage incident with a gun. She said she didn't know why she was being pulled over. The police asked her if there was a weapon, she said no. They searched the car, and couldn't find a gun, speculating she might have thrown it out of the car.
After the train crash, more officers come and search the car, and only then do they magically find the gun.
