PLATTEVILLE, Colo. (KMGH) – A freight train collided into a police cruiser parked on train tracks with a woman trapped inside.

Locked inside the cruiser was 20-year-old Yareni Rios-Gonzalez. Police detained her for an alleged road rage incident earlier in the night

The [...] cops park ON the train track, cuff someone IN the cruiser, and then stare uncomprehendingly when a train comes straight at them, followed by a cowardly panic as they run away from their own vehicle?

Unwilling to put their lives on the line by trying to drive the occupied police car off the tracks. My Aunt served as a partisan in World War II and she was an example of guts and courage. These American police are damned cowards.

Non the less She cooperated fully to all Commands in the video that I watched. I don’t care if She had 20 guns in the truck unless She’s a Convicted Felon.

They were looking for a pistol in the truck based on finding an empty holster inside the truck.

So how safe was the cop sitting on the tracks?

No argument there, pure stupidity.

With that being said, I can understand their lack of due diligence considering it was a narrow, little used country back road with no train signal or gate. Who knows how often a train travels that route and I'm sure that never entered their minds........

As a side note, I've hunted pheasant country out in N.W. Kansas along railroad tracks that may have been used only once a year to come into town and load up the grain from the silos.

The last I heard, the railroad discontinued that route and came in and removed all the steel rails, giving the easement back to the farmers that bordered the tracks.
