The Washington Post, citing people familiar with the case, reported yesterday that prosecutors have recommended against charging Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) in a long-running sex-trafficking investigation
The prosecutors informed the Justice Department that a conviction is unlikely because of credibility questions with the two central witnesses.
These two witnesses are a 17-year-old girl and Joel Greenberg, a former tax collector and one-time associate of Gaetz.
Greenberg pleaded guilty to multiple crimes such as sex trafficking of a child, aggravated identity theft, wire fraud, and defrauding a government loan program.
While investigating Greenberg’s conduct that investigators allegedly discovered evidence potentially implicating Gaetz in sex trafficking.
Greenberg has been providing investigators with information about Gaetz since last year.
The investigation of Gaetz’s alleged involvement with a 17-year-old girl several years earlier began in late 2020 with the approval of then-Attorney General Bill Barr.

Back in 2021, the FBI charged a Florida resident Stephen M. Alford for attempting to extort $25 million from Gaetz’s father Don to secure a presidential pardon for the younger Gaetz amid the ongoing sex-trafficking probe.

Hunter/Biden should have been investigated when the laptop was turned over to FBI in summer of 2019 for national security reasons, bribes, etc.
They found him in a Burger King waiting for an adolescent girl. No one put him in his car at gunpoint.

I can’t recall the guy’s name, but the biggest credibility problem with this case stems from the involvement of a Florida Democrat lawyer, formerly of the DoJ, who was heavily involved in setting up the anti-Gaetz operations. I bet the current prosecutors don’t want that coming out in court in Florida (it wouldn’t matter in DC) that their case is basically a Hillary Clinton-style dirty trick.
I’ve seen far more that supports Joe Biden messed with underaged children than Gaetz ever did. We know his son Hunter did — his 14 year old niece. He actually videoed it.
That’s strange; they had evidence from the “non-politician” Hunter’s business partners that he had paid off his father with millions from the Ukraine and communist China. His father was running for President; I find this a bit more compelling for investigation than who a congressman dated when he was a 17 year old and so was she. But I guess in your neocon world, you have an explanation for everything, as long as its a warmongering libera.
