How does one pay for the tax on “unrealized capital gains”? If you did not receive the gain, then which pocket of money do you use? The income pocket? The home equity pocket? This is a path to being broke, quickly!

Do you get a credit when the item losses value the next year? What happens when your “capital gain” increases your tax rate but your “capital loss” does not lower your taxes due to you are in a lower tax level without the “gain”?

Easy answer, do not invest in anything which could have a capital gain. So how does private business work without investment? How does the housing market work without buyers?
