She was frightened by a Black male in a park area where no one else could see her. For that, she was fired from her job and publicly vilified by the national press.

Also, whenever this story is re-told, the press ALWAYS identifies the Black male as a bird watcher. Possibly true, or possibly a great alibi for lurking in an area where no one can see him.

This incident would not have been handled the same way if the alleged bird watcher was a white male.

Cooper claimed in her suit that her former employer's statements, which received over 200,000 likes on Twitter, implied that the company had uncovered details about her alleged racism not evident from the video, but the Manhattan judge disagreed.

By any objective measure, this is weak grounds for a stupid lawsuit.

The ‘Bird Watcher’ did make a threatening comment regarding her dog, which has also been completely ignored.
