Unvaccinated Coach Has Worked Remotely All Year for SF Giants
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | Sep. 21, 2022 | John Trupin

The 2021 San Francisco Giants were the surprise success story of MLB, and that surprise largely came from developing unheralded pitchers.

Under director of pitching Brian Bannister, a scrappy staff became one of the best in baseball. Longtime underachiever Kevin Gausman became an All-Star, and Logan Webb became one of the top young starters in the league, which Webb has largely credited to Bannister's coaching.

The staff has been without Bannister this year, though. In fact, they haven't worked with him in person since the start of the 2021 playoffs, as The Athletic reported Wednesday. That's because he's refused to take a coronavirus vaccine, as MLB requires for all on-field staff.

While Bannister is not in the dugout for games, he is one of team president Farhan Zaidi's trusted lieutenants. As The Athletic put it, "there aren’t many minds within the game who are as adept at Bannister at communicating concepts and providing pitch-by-pitch feedback." By refusing to vaccinate himself, Bannister is limited to video calls and phone communication with prospects and big leaguers alike.

When this thing they call ‘WuFlu’ was forced upon us all, my company resurrected a program of remote work that had been sitting idle every since 9/11... it was started at that time as a spur of the moment reaction since no could fly for a few days. Anyway it got dusted off and after a bunch of development work was done on it, it’s now in high gear. At the present time, over half of what folks do for the customers is all done remotely. Online training, video conferencing, couriers and the streaming of data have been very well used tools.

Among the most frightened, the most ignorant and the most cowardly of American “men” throughout this fauci flu debacle are those in professional sports. Pitiful, pathetic behavior, at best.

The Dodgers have the highest payroll in all of baseball. The Giants have the 13th highest. The payroll for the Giants 26 man roster is 41% of the Dodger’s.

And their coaches work from home.

I happen to believe that a major contributor to SF Giant suckage is playing ball (no pun intended) in the Gay Area. All them HIV's floating around in the air gets in their eye sockets.

How come they won the 2010, 2012, 2014 World Series? Last year they were pretty good.

Because gay rights, marriage equality, and Bruce Jenner. Haven't you heard? Gay is the new normal. and ever so fashionable.

Also, what have you done for me lately. And furthermore, the Giants suck. But I'm sure their husbands love them, which is nice.
