I was very interested in this because a very young extended family relative (16 mos old) just had a spell of non-stop seizures for 2 hours. She was life-flighted to a larger regional hospital that had a pediatric neurology department.

After testing, they determined that the issue is genetic and affects her heart. The heart issue causes her to have epilepsy. Her seizures responded to medication - she’s now on two anti-seizure meds, likely for the rest of her life.

After reading the article, then looking up WPW syndrome, nowhere does it mention in the Johns Hopkins article anything about seizures. The surgery is ‘ablation’, which is what is also done for Afib (two relatives who have had this successfully).

The baby’s mom was vaxed during pregnancy (baby was born deaf and is not growing well, now has the heart/seizure issue). The surfer’s issues seem to have started well before The Age of COVID.
