Because of “signature on file”. Call them... Make it clear you do not want your signature on file. If you are not there to sign then try again the next day.
I have had good luck with Fed ex for the most part. UPS not so much. I’ll never forget i shipped two rods to new york and when they arrived there was only one in the box. trying to get any credit from UPS is an unholy dream it will never happen they have 20,000 reasons why its alwasy your fault.
