I smell the civil lawsuits cooking...
I used the Twilio phone app when working from home.
I would think there will be lawsuits if the ceo is basing the layoffs on race.
Yep. It’s actually quite possible. First lay off the people you really owe, with nice exit packages, and then go under and let the rest fend for themselves.
Twilio’s biggest mistake is not adequately supporting open-source solutions.
Their bread and butter are large companies that can afford in-house developers. Small businesses need cheap, turnkey solutions. And Twillio is very well positioned to provide them. But they have not done the best job of this. It’s still quite expensive to implement solutions on their platform.
Zimbabwe did something similar by driving out white farmers. It was a disaster.
>>“We will racistly lay off Whites, in other words.”<<
The 11% laid off employees should ban together and sue this jackass and the company into bankruptcy. They’ve got a solid case.
Used to be a lady on here from there reporting the events. Kathy Buckles IIRC. Anyone? Bueller?
So if you are white and laid off you get 12 weeks pay and some soon to be worthless stock. How awfully white of them.
The ultimate dirty trick, and make brownie points with the woke crowd as a bonus.
