For sure. It’s the most complex manufacturing process on the planet. Referred to in the biz as “sand to socket”.

The video in post #5 will give you a better overview than I'll be able to do on FR. If you have a specific question....I'll be glad to answer if I can. (Chip-making is more technical than most expect)

I retired from a chip-making career that began in 1967 with the start-up of National Semiconductor. I retired from Texas Instrument at the end of 1994.
