I just re-stated a question that the late Noble Prize physicist (and Manhattan Project veteran) posed in regard to modern cosmology. It also fits modern particle physics.

Faith and science are different things. Those offended by one or the other understand neither.
Faith need not have validation from science. Science does not seek validation from Faith.
They can can and do coexist in the same mind.

You take theory way too seriously. It’s a tool to explain the natural world. If you don’t believe in a theory, don’t believe it. It’s never wrong to be skeptical. It doesn’t mean you are right, though.
You cannot fight scientific theory with faith or vice versa, because they are different things.
Agreeing that a theory can explain certain data is not heresy, at least not anymore.

A theory can not explain away God.
Evolution and the big bang are described as “theories”. I’ve never heard a serious discussion call them “fact”.
They always are accompanied by the word “theory” hence are not represented as fact, rather as a model to support observed data, for better or worse

another example is the “Theory” of evolution, which is more than evolution, it attempts to explain the origin of life, from inorganic to organic.
It’s spoken of as if it’s a proven fact, which it is NOT - in the sense that it explains life. In fact, it’s mathematically impossible just as the Big Bang is.
