Police are investigating after a pregnant woman had a drink thrown over her and staff at McDonald's were assaulted.
Customers at the fast-food chain in Week Street, Maidstone, witnessed a group of unruly girls throwing drinks and arguing with security.
It is thought the youngsters were unhappy about being removed from the restaurant and claimed the staff were heavy handed in removing them.
The group were then seen outside McDonald's shouting and swearing at security, staff and customers who recorded the incident on Sunday evening.
One girl can be heard shouting "you pulled her by her hair," while another member of the public replied "we saw everything, no he didn't".
One witness, who didn't want to be named, said: "It was absolutely disgusting.
"The security guards from McDonald's and other premises had to form a human barrier to stop them coming in - they had ran off and returned three times.
"My partner is pregnant and we had our two-year-old son with us and they just didn't care about anyone else.
"When we went outside and told them to leave it they threw water over us."
The anonymous 23-year-old, who described the groups behaviour as "chavvy", added: "They came in and sat down and security came over to them after being on the radio and asked them to move.
"After shouting and swearing at him they eventually left before throwing drinks at them and running off.
"Five minutes later they returned and did the same and tried to get in the restaurant.
'They just have no shame and know they can get away with it...' "One of them had to be picked up and moved outside - the security guard did nothing wrong and it wasn't forceful or anything."
By this time a group of customers and staff had gathered outside the shop to tell the group of eight to leave and stop causing trouble.
A few had their phones out recording the girls, to which some of the group screamed "nonce" at them for.
"They just have no shame and know they can get away with it," another person who saw the incident added.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at around 5.40pm on Sunday 11 September 2022, to a report of a disturbance at a fast food restaurant in Week Street, Maidstone.
"Officers attended the scene where they spoke to those present. Inquiries are underway into the circumstances surrounding the incident."
While a McDonald's spokesman added: “Providing a safe and welcoming environment for our people and our customers is a priority for us.
"We do not tolerate any anti-social behaviour in our restaurants. We are aware of an incident that took place at our Week Street restaurant Sunday evening.
"The police were called by our restaurant staff and we will continue to support them with any investigation.”
It is not the first time this year trouble has started outside the fast-food chain this year.
In February, McDonald's defended their security team after a video emerged online of one man tussling with a youth outside the Maidstone town centre site.
