Freight rail strike threatens supply chains, prompting White House planning

Cars, trucks, and tractors, agricultural equiptment and parts, iron ore and scrap steel. Corn and wheat ship by rail. Chemicals used in industry. Corn and wheat and soy beans are shipped by rail. This effects the entire economy and depending on how long this lasts everything could slow down. If you want economic collapse and ruin this is how you get it. And while the DemSoc/DemComm party wants this, I do not think they really want it at this time, just in front of an election. (Unless this is some sort of staged strike to show how how wonderful they are at resolving this sort of thing...)
