Horrible.
Mental health care is almost impossible to come by now because everything is tolerated and even the police are afraid to intervene (even in cases where somebody is waving a knife and threatening to kill a family member he has grabbed).
This is especially true if the disturbed person is black, even if the officers are black, so it results in black communities getting even less mental health care and police assistance.
That said, just a couple of days ago, we had a well-off white man here in Florida, living in a beautiful, huge home and holding a professional position, kill his wife and three elementary/middle school aged children and then kill himself.
I’m not sure he ever gave signs of mental illness, but the black woman obviously had.
Better mental health care all around!
And get rid of judges who totally ignore police concerns and send kids back time and again to abusive or obviously dangerous households, because I’m sure this woman has probably “had contact” with the authorities before.
