I have to wonder if this UFO revelation isn't a psyops of some sort. A large portion, perhaps a majority, of the U.S. population is skeptical of anything that emanates from governments or Big Media. To offer then withhold UFO information merely contributes to public distrust, which has been around since the 1950s on this subject. Perhaps those who want a Great Reset would want to demonize officialdom to “build back better”.
