Candy Corn is just sweetened wax. awful stuff.
Not always true. Good brands have a subtle buttery undertone. I do admit it doesn't taste like corn.

I had corn ice cream once, at a ‘tasting’ menu that a chef here did. It was actually very nice, and very different than you’d expect.
