The Doobie Brothers
I always loved this song, it has a good groove, and makes me think of lazy summer days

The original Doobies were awesome. After Michael McDonald, not so much.

The original Doobies were awesome. After Michael McDonald, not so much. I very much liked Takin' It to the Streets, which was the first album with McDonald. After that, I agree, not so much.

Fantastic song. I first heard it in the spring of 1974.

A cover of My Old School
In the Beginning Greg Lake 2005
Take a Pebble ELP live from 70

I was driving through the night (about 9 yrs ago, OTR 18 wheeler) listening to ‘kook to kook AM’ (actually ‘coast to coast AM’), and Noory was interviewing a fellow that had done a LOT of research concerning people going missing in our national parks. It was both sad and weird stuff, but it helps keep one awake late a night I suppose.
They broke for commercial, the bumper music being Ring Starr’s ‘Photograph’, which made me smile briefly. They came back from break, the bumper song being ‘Another Park, Another Sunday’ by the Doobies. I couldn’t help laughing that time.

They’ve got recent videos up on Youtube of themselves rerecording some of their old hit songs. Pretty interesting to see, as they play the parts nearly verbatim.

“Pat Simmons used to be a neighbor.”
I went to high school with Tiny Hartman’s little brother. I think Tiny was almost 10 years older.
