Reasonable, as many people can’t seem to drive without killing something.

Southern Illinois, thank God. I’m north, near the Wisconsin border.
I would like to go down to the Shawnee National Forest area in 2024, however, for the total solar eclipse.

I found one of these cute guys in my front yard here in PA. If I had known he was an escaped pet I would have saved him before he got run over.

Q: Why did the chicken cross the road?
A: It was trying to get away from stampeding snakes.

I’m headed down there to make a new nature video, Dancing With Rattlesnakes. It’s better if you’re barefoot.

Snakes don’t migrate. They just leave the door unlocked for others to invade.

A gross driving experience I had in Washington state was driving through a mass frog migration at night, they covered the road and I had to keep going through them.
For poisonous snakes, I might have backed up and delayed the rest of the drive.

Saw a herpetologist at a national park give a demo with a gigantic Cane Break rattler, he was stepping on it pushing it around and everything and while the Cane Break was rattling away it did not strike and the herptoligist was proving the point that they don’t strike instantly they will expend more energy getting the hell out of the way... that said me and my brother-in-law were in the front row and that freaking snake was four feet from us... on a table top!

Nearly stepping on rattle snakes is why I gave up spring Turkey season.
It coincides with rattler mating season in Minnesota.

Are you sure you aren’t confusing us for Sweetwater Texas?

I know about Sweetwater, but it seems when I was stationed at Altus 40 years there was something similar in OK, but on a smaller scale.
