My daughter, granddaughter, son-in-law, and all of my siblings have been vaxed and boostered. If I ask if they plan to take more the answer I get is, “if my doctor tells me to”. There is no talking to them. I think the only thing that might make them stand up and say “enough” will be seeing other otherwise healthy people drop dead. Sad.

I stopped telling them what I think because it seems to just make them more determined to do it and prove me wrong. They are all grown adults. It’s the little kids that don’t have a choice that bug me.

I have a sister who is doubly vaxxed and triple boosted. She has a funny looking scar on her arm at her vax site. It looks like a scab but just underneath her skin, in a circular pattern.

She asked me the other day if I got any boosters and I told her no. She asked if I was vaxxed and I said yes. She asked why I didn’t get any boosters. I said I didn’t see the point in them, and that they lied to us about the safety and effectiveness of the first ones.

Then I reminded her that I got omicron in May and that it was just like any cold I’ve ever had before. For something that only got me mildly ill, I don’t see the need to have a vaccine. There is no emergency anymore, so there should be no more emergency use authorizations for this.

She couldn’t give any rebuttal. She knew I was right.

I suggested to someone to eat pistachios before bed to get more melatonin. That was her answer.
"I have to ask my doctor."

My response:
"you need to ask your doctor before you eat food?"
Her response:
