I have heard a few religious zealot types thinking he will choose Arthur. Which in some theological way meets some obscure prophecy regarding endtimes.

I was told many years ago by a Brit that Charles wouldn’t necessarily be known as King Charles. The first two kings by that name don’t have such a good reputation (although Charles II is an ancestor of Prince William through one of his illegitimate children) so it may be wise to avoid Charles. George VII would probably be the safest bet. Charles is 73 so people may figure they can abide him for a few years until William succeeds him.
