We’ll see. It’s the Parish Council that has to supply the generals. The rest of us are the cannon fodder, as it were.
What I’d like to see is for every parish organization to say, “No, we will not submit our budget requests to the business manager. We will follow the Diocese’s guidelines, consult with the parish council, and so on.”
I found out that Hispanic Ministry does have a budget. This is neither good nor bad in itself, but now we know the answer to the question!
If the business manager isn’t following the Diocese’s guidelines, then she needs to be reminded of her duties and not allow her personal prejudices to get in the way of the functioning of the Parish.
Maybe she’ll resign.
Seriously, unless there's also a separate budget for the Anglo ministry, there shouldn't be a separate budget for the Hispanic ministry. It's the Parish Member ministry, right?
