I am dubious. Many cancers feed on LDH. Don’t know if the ones they studied do. In fact, apparently most frontline Doctors have no clue that an LDH that is not raised can still signal cancer if the isoform composition changes

LDH catalyzes pyruvate to lactate.

Cancer feeds on LDH.

In any event, hopefully they can do something with this.

I know they have studied trying to target LDH to cure cancer

btw, can’t remember the exact details but one study that had success with LDHA and cancer saw the body switch the process to LDHB to feed the same cancer.

It’s a malevolent crafty SOB.

What I take from this is that cancers create the conditions to help themselves create lactate. What this study found is that our T-cells need blood provided lactate to help them do their job.

It did not appear that blood provided lactate helped cancer cells over T-cells.
