We had a real bad hail storm come through NW Arkansas about thirty five years ago.
Wife got the kids up and into the hall. I said I don’t think it will be that bad.
At that moment one came through the kitchen window and I got in the hall, fast!
The hail stones were between 3 and 4 inches, oblong. They were composed of small hail stones all frozen together in a big lump. Had to have the house re-roofed.
Wonder what those would do to a solar panel.
I’m from East Tennessee, 73 years old, and the largest hail I have ever seen was about the size of a penny or maybe a nickel...
Can’t recall just when the one came though Fort Smith. It was blowing and beat windows out of buildings and the top and one side of most vehicles. They looked like someone had used a sledge hammer on them.
