Remember when Govt tried to ban Incandescent light bulbs and subsidized mercury containing florescent bulbs?

No consumers wanted them, and they are now an environmental nightmare.

Today there are some very good LED bulbs made, and for many uses they are great.

but still they don’t keep my chickens warm or make my Lava lamp work.

“but still they don’t keep my chickens warm “

Much safer to use a dedicated heater and doesn’t keep the rooster up all night.

My whole house is LED. Haven’t had to replace any in 4+ years and my power bill is the same now as eight years ago.

that’s because they’re not converting electricity into heat in order to make light. Incandescent light bulbs do that

Lol. Winter is coming. My chick’s got 3 salvaged cells of a n old prieus battery I bought for 35 bucks off a bad 30k battery on craigs list. I charge it by an array of solar charged lawn light panels and a few spin wheels I stripped out of yard sale loot. If I get the stream making juice I can cut the electric. ;-)
