He was throwing his sholder into the door... father shot 3 times in a second or two... watch the vid, hardly was he “running away” when the third shot was fired.

I don’t blame the father at all. I do have empathy for the mans family, but his actions lead to the result... We have all let anger overrule our reason.. sometimes it has fatal consequences...

He was forcing the door with his left shoulder. Presuming the door was hinged on the right it's quite possible he spun to the left in which case the shoulder wounds would seem reasonable since his body would be turned. It does look as though he might have turned to leave at the third shot, but all three shots look to have been in 2 seconds.

There's reaction time to decide to pull the trigger plus the time to aim or point and to actually pull the trigger. Also, did the individual attempting to break in go back and forth before trying to break in? If so, that might indicate a possibility that he would turn and try to break in again. Might the would-be attacker be under the influence of a drug that could cause him to fail to perceive pain to himself (e.g., disassociation from an hallucinogen or stimulant)?

they stopped the vid feed but the sound remained and he was shot the first 2 times facing the gun and the third shot was probably his back...
