Hall and Fields are members of the Moorish Nation, a religious sect founded in the 1920s with beliefs connected to Islam. Some members practiced hostile possession of properties in line with the sovereign citizen movement, which purports to mean that they believe they have immunity from U.S. federal, state, and local laws. Members of the religion have been doing similar break-ins and squatting attempts for years.
The “equestrian estate” in question includes a 9,000-square-foot, five-bedroom, six-bathroom residence as well as a pool, cabana, putting green, horse stables, fitness training center, and theater room. Some of those amenities just might have played a role in why they decided to squat here.

Looks like NASCAR is still paying pretty well, at least for those that win occasionally.

Looks like they haven't missed too many meals.
The Moorish Nation is well known on the East Coast, and has pulled many such shenanigans in the past.

I’d expect these people would be killed, as intruders.

I guess if you’re famous and rich enough, you can have squatters evicted and arrested almost immediately.
The rest of us just have to suck it up.

The Moorish Nation sounds like a parasite kind of ‘religion’.’They infest and live off of the unwilling host until there is nothing more to take or squander.
Those Dreds are dreadful, appearing unwashed, uncombed,
un-deloused. They probably brought bedbugs with them.
Another expense to be handled by the owner.

Being a mediocre, at best, NASCAR driver pays well.
