I believe I read somewhere that there is an area or tribe in Africa that is remarkable for these large genetic derrieres....and those that have them are revered and admired for "the bigger the better".

The teacher mentioned in this post may be a blood descendant of such folks.

Perhaps some researcher here could help out.

I just answered my own question above re: abnormally large buttocks on that American teacher....she undoubtedly inherited the characteristic......

I researched Wiki....."Large buttocks (Steatopygia) is a genetic characteristic notably found among the Kohisan tribe of Central Africa." In old Victorian England, those (primarily women) with any amount of African blood and who had Steatopygia, were features of Freak Shows (shows which were common attractions in those days of olde).

That's about all I want to know on this subject....
