Democrats See Unicorns while the Red Wave Rises

Oh, happy days are here again! According to the left-wing media, Democrats may be able to defy the odds and keep control of both the Senate and the House in November. You can read about it here, here, and here.

There is a hair of truth mixed into Democrat optimism. Joe Manchin's sell-out on the Inflation Reduction Act, AKA the Green New Deal, was a multi-billion-dollar boon for green energy liberals like Bill Gates. Likewise, the Supreme Court overturning Roe is a fundraising boon for leftist politicians who want to campaign on abortion. Even Joe Biden benefited — although it took all of the above plus positive news on unemployment, the passage of the Chips Act, a downward drift in the price of gasoline, and a slight decline in the inflation rate to create a five-point dead cat bounce in his approval numbers.

The recent House special election in New York District 19 for the unexpired term of Antonio Delgado is considered a positive for Democrats. The interesting part is that Republican Mark Molinaro, the loser, will run against a different Democrat in a redrawn version of District 19 in the November election. In addition, Democrat Pat Ryan will run against a different Republican in District 18. With these unique circumstances and turnout at only 25% versus 70% in the 2020 general election, this seems less like a bellwether and more like a who-cares election.

So before the Democrats prematurely raise the hammer and sickle flag over Congress for the next term, we should look at some facts.

Much of the supposed good news for Democrats may not matter. According to The Washington Post, abortion and climate change were dead last in a mid-July Economist/YouGov poll of 14 midterm election issues. Jobs and the economy were first.

I remember, the pollsters used to get it almost perfectly, every time, all the time.
Nowadays, somehow, they lost their mo.
Especially since Trump showed up on the scene.

With all of the demonization of conservatives, I don’t think they want to be honest with pollsters. It makes democRATs look like they won’t need to cheat so much.

The Republicans have no message other than “hey, we’re not democrats.”

The RNC needs to do some soul searching. They rely on us being pro-MAGA/anti-leftist. But that’s not good enough.

Where’s the new Contract with America? Where’s the “here’s the problem, here’s the solution?”

Absolutely!
The GOP is just some neutered, dem light party who thinks, “well, we’re not democrats”
They are screwing us almost every bit as bad !
They’re incompetent, hapless, and swampy who NEVER stand together the way demoRATs do.
So sick of the GOP, but what can you do?

And Kevin McCarthy. The evolution of the existing Republican party into a viable pro-American political organization doesn't really start until some new Republican takes one of those spots.

I would call them "leadership spots" but that might confuse the reader, based on what happens there.

The party, absolutely. Republican leadership is gormless and feckless.

Donald Trump rendered two services:

First he exposed them and the deep state for all to see.

Second he has been primarying out the GOP leadership’s favorites. He is always going to have a spotty record in choosing people but he has already made a huge difference.

Democrats see unicorns because they plan to cheat. Why is the world would anyone think they won’t?

They will cheat and they will demonize and try to jail anyone who says they cheated.

Sad part is that after this happens, our side will blame ourselves and argue that people didn’t get out and vote enough. You know, the usual buzz that happens after RATs cheat and we feel demoralized. There just isn’t enough voting we can do to counter the ways they cheat.

And then.....we pull out of it and declare that we are really gonna win the next election. Blech, Yawn

By nationalizing the election again with a new Contract With America the pubbie leadership realizes they have a real chance to gain a majority in both houses. That is exactly why the Uniparty (R) leaders won’t do it.

Nathan, in thinking back to 1994 when the first "Contract with America" was unveiled, it was not until after Labor Day that it was officially announced. It's too soon to announce the 2022 version of the contract, but it'll be here soon.

If there was ever a time for the GOP to develop a coherent, nationalized message with positive vibes to counter the damage the Dems have wrought over the last 19 months, it is this election.

In Mexico they had the PRI Party that won every Election and the PAN Party that always lost. Its like that here, now. I bet the PR is a set up for the Democrat/Progressive Party to Steal again. Watch—the Democrats will win again with a narrow majority (so with some RINOs they will always win the House, Same with the Senate. Progressive dismantle of the American State can march on. Lets not get violent! The FBI-DOJ is ready with the IRS to stamp out all opposition. Look what the Media/IRS did to stamp out the Tea Party. They convinced the majority that the Tea Party was KKK Light. Just watch. But don’t get mad or angry! Nothing too see here, Democracy (really CCP Light) has been saved.

So if anyone sees Mitch McConnell crying in his beer, tell him to snap out of it and man up.

A) Mitch isn’t crying in his beer at the prospect of losing (again). He is a self-serving RINO P.O.S.

B) If I ever saw Mitch in person, there are lots of things I might say, and none would be supportive or encouraging (see A).
