The Argus Observer appears to be the rare independent small town newspaper. It would be good form to give them a couple of clicks for providing this content, and not banning it from freerepublic as so many have.

Done. Reminds me of the scene in “Unbreakable” when the villain walks in and takes over that house.

Marijuana sales are booming just across Idaho’s border in Ontario, Oregon. According to the Oregon
Liquor Control Commission, Marijuana shops in Ontario exceeded $100 million dollars in sales in a little over a year since they got the go-ahead to open.
Ontario is the only city in Malheur County to allow marijuana sales, and with six dispensaries operating out of the city, according to the commission, those dispensaries brought in more than $8 million a month during the pandemic.
That’s $3 million increase compared to this time last year

Idaho’s harsh marijuana laws seem not to deter use.

Too bad the perp survived.
And we should barricade ourselves in our houses out of fear because the criminal justice system and LE won’t do their jobs?
Wrong answer.

Yup, any criminal pointing a gun at me has forfeited any claim to safety and well being.
For that matter, any criminal pointing a gun at anyone is in the same category.

It is a good thing it isn’t Ontario Canada where Castreau said Canadians do not have a right to self defense with guns.

Aww...will the Canadians be prosecuting the homeowner for some damned thing or other?

The event happened in Idaho.
The Sheriff congratulated the homeowners on surviving.
